East Alabama Medical Center, who has earned the distinction of being named one of Fortune Magazines "100 Best Companies to Work For" for two consecutive years, is currently seeking a LINUX System Administrator to join our team.
This position is responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring of all Linux/UNIX systems. The systems administrator will support daily operations and help develop strategies to improve availability and utilization of East Alabama Medical Centers Linux / UNIX environment.
Experience:
Must be able to exhibit previous experience in the following areas:
- Server installation and upgrades.
- Daily administrative duties for multiple Linux/UNIX servers.
- Patch management and monitoring.
- &n! bsp; Create, test, and maintain system backups for Linux/UNIX servers.
- Maintain and develop system monitoring tools.
- Maintain and develop high availability solutions.
- Support 24x7x365 data center operations.
- Provide on-call support.
