MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (Position Summary)
The Senior Developer position is responsible for designing, developing and testing Web solutions. The developer should be able to perform business requirements analysis and design software solutions. This position supports custom and third-party applications systems implementations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The following duties and responsibilities are designed to fulfill the goals set forth by Affirmative’s 3-C’s Initiative. It is important to consider these objectives when carrying out the following duties:
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the follo! wing programming languages: ASP.NET, C Sharp (C#), Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET) and SQL (SQL).
- Experience utilizing web frameworks such as MVC framework, AJAX framework, Logging framework and Persistence framework.
- Experience developing web services based systems integrations.
- Experience developing web solutions with Content Management systems.
- Experience developing web solutions with SEO & SEM best practices.
- Desired experience working in a .com environment.
- Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development experience.
- Experience designing and developing Web pages with HTML5 and CSS.
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure the success of the implementation.
- Deploy solutions with the coordination of team members and business users.
- Assist in deployment of sol! ution and the resolution of deployment issues. Document deploy! ment issues and recovery scenarios when required.
- Maintain and modify solutions as business needs require.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
