Senior Software Engineer

MAARK is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive backend development for B2B web and desktop applications. This senior-level engineer will work with other senior members of the engineering staff on development projects and help drive architectural strategy for our applications. We are looking for someone who thrives working in a small, fast-growing company. This individual needs to be well-versed in current engineering best-practices, adaptable to diving into new technologies, and passionate about creating and delivering solid solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient and maintainable software solutions consistently either as a Lead or as part of a team.


• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.


• Communicate and enforce coding standards when working with Junior or Intermed! iate developers.


• Assist in the facilitation of team and client meetings.


• Communicate difficult and technical information appropriately to relevant non-technical staff.


• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience.


• Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns


• Strong web development skills using in Java, PHP and ColdFusion (familiarity with .NET a plus).


• Strong TDD skills and familiarity with testing tools and techniques.


• Strong database design and development skills with one or more databases (ideally MySQL, MSSQL and Oracle).


• Experience with delivering Web Services  (SOAP and REST).


• Experience with system administration as they relate to web development (i.e. installing and running web, application and database servers).


• Minimum 10+ years of web development experience with at least 5 years in the aforementioned techn! ologies.

Qualifications
