Job opening - Junior Rails Developer at Harvest (New York, NY)

Harvest is looking for a Junior Rails Developer to join our team, and here's a sample of things you might work on:

  • Recreate bugs and unexpected behavior, then fix the problem. Communicate the problem and solution back to our customers.

  • Refactor code to use new technologies and techniques. For example, our report generation and export just went from a tmpfile on disk to streaming output from our Rails daemons.

  • Collaborate with our interaction designers and front-end devs on a better first-time user experience, then make it happen.

  • Explore exciting possibilities for 3rd party APIs — everything from financial tools to support dashboards to Google app integrations.

  • Move a small codebase over to a new technology like Rails 3, Ruby 1.9.3, CoffeeScript, or CouchDB.
