We're bringing Goalbook (http://goalbookapp.com) ;to the pre-Cloud, Web 1.0 world of special education software. There are over six million students identified with special needs in the US and the educators who work with them are given the worst software around.
It's a huge market that's been starving for an elegant and intuitive set of tools and you will be instrumental in delivering them. You'll own our entire web stack and eventually teach and manage more junior developers as we grow.
This opportunity is not for everyone. You will be a core member of a seed-stage startup with an equity stake to match.

About Goalbook
Goalbook (http://goalbookapp.com) is the first and only social and mobile platform that allows teams of educators who work with students with special needs to safely and effectively collaborate online. We're a seed-stage EdTech startup that emerged from the inaugural class of Imagine K12 and the first company funded through New School! Venture's EdTech Seed Fund.
We offer a competitive salary with health care benefits and you'll work on your choice of a new MacBook Pro/Air with a Thunderbolt monitor. We are housed on the super-cool third floor of AOL West complete with pool tables, ping-pong, beer on tap, and a bottomless supply of Honey Nut Cheerios. It's right by Caltrain with tons of great eats on California Ave in Palo Alto.
