Tumblr has an immediate need for senior level storage engineers to help build out our rapidly growing persistence layer. We are seeking someone that is capable of creating petabyte scala storage systems capable of supporting millions of writes per second across multiple data centers. Our existing dataset and user base is growing rapidly and we need your help to support this growth. In this role you’ll be responsible for designing, architect, building and supporting highly available distributed storage systems capable of supporting real-time workloads of terabytes of data as well as batch (Hadoop style) storage systems managing petabytes of data. Preference will be given to people with meaningful open source contributions and familiarity.
