ChinaCache North America Inc. is seeking a System Engineer with cloud experience.
As a System Engineer, you will set the architecture and design and implement an IaaS and SaaS service using Cloudstack and Xen hypervisors. You will review architectures, security, deployment strategies, scaling and metrics for this product.
• Work with business groups to develop technical strategy across products for seamless transition to cloud services
• Effectively leverage resources of multiple organizations to capitalize on capabilities from each effectively
• Establish the vision for the services and communicate it with passion to enable long term success
• Develop and apply advanced s! tate-of-the-art engineering theories, methods, and research techniques in the solution of complex problems affecting our SaaS platform
• Prepare formal presentations/reviews in areas of specialization to management and customers
• Coordinate technical design activities across the team to deliver highly-available, highly-scalable, and secure applications in the cloud
Qualifications
• BA/BS degree
• 5+ years of designing, developing, architecting and implementing large-scale applications in IaaS/SaaS environments
• Extensive experience working with Cloudstack
• Demonstrated ! ability to create and present a technical roadmap
• Passion for developing technology and the ability to channel that desire into a collaborative team effort
• Demonstrated technical leadership that materially advances the technology of the company
• Can solve multi-threaded, asynchronous, and distributed systems problems
• Understand issues around fault tolerance and scale-out
• Experience with a high-volume, highly-available, distributed application in a hosted environment
• Experience with relational databases, data modeling, ORM framework, and SQL/JDBC
• Experience with AWS is a plus
• Experience with security and ! encryption technologies is a plus
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational skills and entrepreneurial drive
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly in dynamic environment
Familiarity with these technical skills is a plus:

Software: Puppet, Apache, Cacti, Nagios, SNMP, DNS/Bind, DHCP, rsyslog, CloudStack
